Nadine Siegert
Bio
Dr. Nadine Siegert is the head of culture and development at the Goethe-Institut South Africa in Johannesburg, which is the regional office for sub-Saharan Africa.
Siegert is also on the board of the Music In Africa Foundation responsible for human resources.
She works on a number of projects related to culture, creative industries and civil society. With a background in art and curatorial studies, Siegert is also a curator, researcher and publisher with iwalewabooks.
She is the former deputy director of Iwalewahaus, University of Bayreuth. During her study times at the University of Mainz, she worked in the African Music Archives. Siegert has supervised and cooperated with a number of archive digitisation projects with partners on the African continent.
