Oceanico

Oceanico is a transcontinental music project. It sparked in July 2020, with the reconnection of two artists and old friends, Augusto Castro & Paulo Costa. With lockdown, restrictions and some “extra time” available, they rekindled their partnership (across the ocean) writing new songs and working on some old ones. The project was properly lit when Paulo presented the scratch takes of 9 original compositions to Blake Hellaby, a South African musician, composer and producer who completed the team, sharing their vision of a multicultural non-traditional music production. The songs were produced and recorded with collaborations of 14 different artists from Brazil and South Africa and the outcome is in fact something to note.

The project was “born” on the online platforms in February 2021. This track is a “debut single”, planned to be released on the 10th of September. The whole album is due to November 2021 (date to be confirmed).
