Percy Mabandu

Percy Mabandu is a poet, artist-writer and journalist who works at the intersection of art jazz music, and political economy. He has led various projects collaborating with various musicians including SAMA award nominee, Tumi Mogorosi, SBYAs Sisonke Xonti, Kyle Shepherd, Shane Cooper, Andile Yenana and others. Mabandu is the author of the book, Yakhal'inkomo - Portrait of a Jazz Classic. His art and music journalism has appeared in various publications in SA broad including on The City Press, Mail&Guardian, Sunday Times, NewFrame, Departures Magazine, Destiny Man and more. He has been a broadcast with Radio 702, a regualr commentator on PowerFM, SAfm and Newsroom Afrika. He has also served as a board member of the Samro Foundation, and Friends of Ifas.
