Piotr Pucylo

Piotr Pucylo is an international music industry professional with 25 years of experience in various roles, including producer, booker, educator, project coordinator, promoter and journalist.

In 2005, he co-founded the GLOBALTICA World Cultures Festival, now one of Poland's largest and most renowned world music festivals, which he programs and directs artistically. Regularly invited as a jury member, mentor or panelist during important festivals, competitions or other international events. One of the so-called 7 Samurai at WOMEX 2018.

Piotr is a sought-after expert in African music, with a deep knowledge of both contemporary and classic genres from the 1970s and 1980s. He has participated in numerous conferences, festivals, and events in countries such as Morocco, Egypt, Mali, Cape Verde, Reunion, South Africa, and Mozambique, showcasing African music talent.

Under his direction, the Globaltica festival has hosted an impressive array of African artists, including Bassekou Kouyate, Seun Kuti, Ba Cissoko, Cesaria Evora, Cheikh Lo, Bonga, Mahotella Queens, and many more. In addition to his music industry expertise, Piotr is a talented graphic designer, known for his vibrant, ethnic-patterned designs that evoke a cross-cultural atmosphere.
