The Proof
Bio
Born Jonathan B. Sinyangwe, The Proof is a Zambian gospel singer, rapper, songwriter and drummer. He named himself "The Proof" because he believes that he's the proof that Jesus is alive and he abides in him. He was born on 26 November. He was inspired into music by his cousin Chanda. When he was 13 years old, Chanda influenced him to begin rapping and spreading the word of God through gospel hip-hop music. Besides rapping he realised that he could also play drums.
He gave his life to Jesus Christ at a very tender age and grew up in a Christian home with his father and mother who are both his biological and spiritual parents. His father, Pastor Sunday Sinyangwe, is the founder of The Standing in the Gap prayer ministry and General Overseer of Shalom Embassy Ministries International.
His maiden studio recording was in in 2008 when he recorded his first verse of a song called ‘Praise The Lord’. This was when he was a member of a group called the O.G saints. Shortly afterwards he began recording quite a number of songs. As of 2016, The Proof has so far released a mixtape titled 'The Proof'. Some of his singles are 'Mumani Ona', 'I say' and 'Follow Follow'.
