Shingisai Suluma is a renowned gospel artist from Zimbabwe. By the age of 17 she was the choir leader of the Braeside Assembly of Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA). She recorded her first album in 1995. To date, she has a discography of 10 albums, most recently 'Rwendo' in 2013, and has performed internationally. Her music has inspired many people from all walks of life. Popularly known as Mai Suluma, some of her most popular tracks include 'Mirira Mangwanani', 'Tatenda Taona', 'Maitiro Enyu', 'Nanhasi', 'Mumaoko aMwari' and 'Fara Zvakadaro', among others.
She has won several awards and is arguably the most accomplished Zimbabwean female gospel artist. She is currently engaged in her graduate studies and is working with various worship teams in the United States, where she leads and trains team members. Apart from music, Suluma is a still-life and textile artist trained in Surrey, UK, and spent years teaching in high schools in Harare.
