Siza Nkosi
Bio
Siza Nkosi Mokhele is a Soweto-born author and poet.
She graduated from the Rhodes University with a masters degree in creative writing. As of 2021 she was studying towards her Ph (UWC). Mokhele is a creative writing lecturer at the Sol Plaatje University, chairperson of the Credo Mutwa Integenerational colloquium (CMIC) and CEO of the House of Siza; an NPO that creates innovative platforms for personal growth, re-discovery, and reliance through music and literature. Her poetry is featured in local and international literary journals and anthologies. She published nine children's storybooks in IsiZulu with Oxford University Press. In 2020 she curated; Reflection Session on June 16, 1976, the Inaugral Credo Mutwa Intergenerational Colloquium ( CMIC), and the 57th Commemoration of Miriam Makeba’s 1963 UN Speech. Siza performed at this years' International Jazz day ( Soweto) and in commemoration of the June 16 1976 Soweto uprising, she directed and performed her poetry with Peanut Butter and Jam sessions ( PBXJ) at the Northern Cape Theatre. She hosts poetry and music jam session in collaboration with(PBXJ) in Kimberley Northern Cape, South Africa.
