Solly Ramatswi
Bio
Solly Ramatswi, also known as Soetry, the founder of Soetry Media
and Project Translation, is a writer, translator, performer, and theatre-maker born and bred in Limpopo, South Africa. His love for art and storytelling was sparked by his grandmother's storytelling.
He uses imagery and is inspired by music and movement,
and the marriage between art forms via Sign language; to reflect, question
and interrogate. His work is on growing in South Africa, and his recent work speaks on the uncovering of his family history and delving into questioning thought and existence. His work has been in several local theatres, television and magazines.
