Swahili Sound System Band

Swahili Sound System Band is an acoustic music band that writes and plays live compositions of Traditional African tunes fused with Chacha, rumba, afrobeat and urban music such as hip hop and reggae.

The band was formed mid 2014 downtown Arusha, Tanzania as part of musical movement project sponsered and organised by SwahiliRecord label of Hamburg, Germany. The band is now recording their EPK album.The band is active in the East africa region and plays series of their own organized events Made in Africa.

The force behind the band is strong due to the profile and experience of the members forming the band are Lukta a percussionist and songwriter, Ras Micky a bassist and composer, Jose Saxophonist and vocalist, Ras Katanga Drummer and guitarist, Manuuh Swai a singer and songwriter, Ras Kalumba percussionist and rapper and Babuu Mollel a photographer and trainer.
