Swazi Rhythm
Bio
Swazi Rhythm is a music online platform that was founded by Swazi hip-hop artists Thamsanqa ‘KrTC’ Sibandze and ‘hip-hop first lady’ Cherise Forde, aka C4. The site strives to give a platform to upcoming Swazi musicians to showcase their musical and lyrical talent on national radio.
The platform has been receiving reviews from locally-acclaimed media critics and even got the nod of His Majesty King Mswati III who bought a copy at the opening of the fifth session of the 10th Parliament. It was also endorsed by Prime Minister, Dr Sibusiso Barnabas Dlamini. In October 2013, he PM also graced the official premiering of two music videos of the Swazi Rhythm Vol.1 project.
In 2012, the platform introduced a music project titled ‘Swazi Rhythm Vol: 1’, a compilation of Swazi musicians who ‘revolutionalised’ the Swazi music industry. The compilation featured Swaziland’s leading musicians such as Mozaik, KrTC, Diba Diba, Anakhonza, Tiyas, Amanda Mo, MP, LCB, Lindz, Thomas Southern, Msimisi, Masikane, Nomzamo, Floewe and a whole lot more. Already, the album has churned out chart-busters both locally and regionally.
Artists who are part of the Swazi Rhythm project have graced numerous stages within and outside the country. They have shared the stage with South African songbird, Lira in Nelspruit, South Africa.
The goal of the project is to establish a business franchise that produces a compilation of talented Swazi artists every year that will serve as a spring board to energize individual careers.
