Tamanda Clare Mbendera

Throughout her career, Tammy (born Tamanda Clare Mbendera) has specialised in festivals on the African continent, including the MTN Bushfire Festival (2016-2020).

She is a creative consultant, researcher, creative educator and founder of Festival Institute, an education platform for enhancing skills and creating jobs in the African Arts. In addition to her technical and creative skills in business and arts management, Tammy has corporate experience in people/performance management in the form of former Core Business Services Associate with Global Assurance Firm, EY (formerly Ernst & Young).

She was a consulting station manager and course designer for Malawi's first radio station dedicated to the arts as well as a consultant for Music Crossroads Malawi.
