Bio
Temesgen Ghide is an Ethiopian percussionist and singer living in the United States.
born and raised in Addis Ababa, He has been playing the Begena and the Krar instruments since 1990. He studied the studied the music at the Yared School of Music in Addis Ababa.
His music style is the traditional music of Ethiopia as well as ethno-fusion -- combining elements of Ethiopian music, reggae, Indian music, and blues. Temesgen is currently the a proponent of Ethiopian traditional music in the USA. he provides one-on-one tutorials either online or in person. It is his dream to keep alive the ancient musical traditions of Ethiopia.
