Bio
Tumel (real name Truemale Bonnface) is an artist from Malawi who was born on 3 April 1983. His music is dancehall and it is signed to Nde’feyo Music. He grew up in Zimbabwe and this is where his passion for music developed. Back the, he would sing in church with his mother. His love for music prompted him to make a self-made guitar. This was coupled by listening to music by well-known reggae icon Bob Marley. At 20, he decided to take music as a career. His involvement in music has seen him becoming a producer, singer and songwriter.
In 2009, he released his debut single titled ‘Rosie’. This was followed by another single called ‘Tsalani’ (2011). He became popular with his song ‘Let It Go’. Shortly afterwards, his music began featuring on BBC Radio and many other local radio stations. In 2013, he launched a mixtape titled ‘Step Ahead’, this was followed by the release of a music video for ‘Party (lalala)’.
He has toured many places and has shared the stage with a number of local and international acts such like 2face Idibia.
