Vission Boy
Bio
Vission Boy (real name Katoopeni Samuel Ndakoneka) is an Afro-pop/kwaito singer who hails from Ruacana, Namibia. He is inspired by Namibian artists such as Swart Baster and Gazza, as well as Trompies from South Africa. He began writing music at 12 but his dreams only took shape in 2011 when he started making plans to record his music. That year he released three singles: ‘Baby Gal Come Back’, ‘Commander’ and ‘Fikulimwe’, all recorded at Ndexland Studios in Oshakati. The singles were well received, establishing him on the Namibian music scene.
Vission Boy has performed at the Helao Nafidi Business and Trade Expo where he shared the stage with veteran artists such as Mushe, Mshasho and Gazza. In 2015 he released his 14-track debut album entitled ‘Movimento’, featuring artists such as Kibesh, Vaxido, Fresh Family, Scara, Beota, Jomo and others.
