Yarona FM

Yarona FM is a national broadcaster based in Gaborone, Botswana. The Station’s core audience comprises of young, upwardly mobile youth within the age of 20 and 29. The Station began its national broadcast in 2008, after starting out as a regional broadcaster in 1999. Yarona FM is available in the country’s urban and semi urban cities, towns and villages.

The Station identifies itself with the “freshest” and newest songs, relevant and compelling talk and news content targeted towards Botswana’s urban youth audience. Yarona FM is the entertainment authority in Botswana, having initiated and participated in numerous music concerts, and being regarded as the go-to Station for event promotion by local promoters.

It also prides itself in articulating its audience’s key issues of interest from a socio-economic, lifestyle, political and entertainment point of view well and they are well-known for a unique on air promotions and contests. All this is done to a pulsating soundtrack of hip-hop, kwaito, RnB and house music, spectacular station imaging and great audience interactions.
