Emmanuel Mujuru

Emmanuel Mujuru was a music teacher at Zengeza High School in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe from 1993 to 2003. He holds a BA Special Honors in Music from Great Zimbabwe University, a BMus (Ethnomusicology) from Africa University and a National Certificate in Music from the Zimbabwe College of Music. Apart from graduating and acquiring his NCM in 1998, he also acquired an ABRSM grade five theory certificate with a distinction. A teacher by profession, Emmanuel also holds a Certificate in Education (Secondary). With the Zengeza High School choir, he recorded an eight-track album titled 'Wedding Bells' in 1999. In 2002, he recorded a solo gospel album entitled 'Magwaro' and another one entitled 'OK Fine!' in 2010.

He has participated in the national music curriculum design, reviews and implementation programs with Zimbabwe's Ministry of Education. He has had more than two years teaching experience in each of the following three; Secondary school, Teachers' Colleges, Primary School and Tertiary Academy respectively. He toured the UK and the US in 2010 with his Primary School choir and China in 2012, with an adult college choir.

As of February 2013, he has been the head of pedagogy at Music Crossroads Academy Zimbabwe.
