FCon is a singer and songwriter born in a small village in Sierra Leone under the birth name Francis Conteh. A personal tragedy during the civil war caused his family to relocate to the capital city Freetown where he was exposed to a thriving music scene. He relocated to Charlotte in 2010.

He was introduced to music through church as a child in choir, and started recording at local studios at a young age. His songs are about his life, struggles and the culture.
