JayBee

JayBee is a Moroccan jazz musician whose life took a significant turn when he met Mr Yasir, a banjo player, in San Francisco. Following this encounter, JayBee became a member of AlFayzeen, a Moroccan band that performed a wide range of genres, including Guiwan music, Shikhat, and Gnawa, during the 1980s.

In 1989, JayBee made the decision to step away from music and everything associated with it. He embraced a sober lifestyle and focused on raising a family. During this period, he found solace in attending drum circles and participating in jam sessions.

Eventually, JayBee's passion for music was reignited when he joined the Charleston Community Jazz Orchestra. In this ensemble, he assumed the role of a percussionist, contributing his rhythmic skills to the group's performances.
