Cheche Sessions Presents Abeneko and the Positive Mind

Abeneko & The Positive Mind are a band that fuses contemporary East African beats with traditional African rhythms with the aim of promoting traditional and contemporary Tanzanian music and culture. 

The band is led by Abeneko, a contemporary live performer, singer, songwriter, guitarist and choreographer, and has performed at major festivals in East Africa as well as tours to Germany, Denmark, Finland, and the USA. The band is known for their energetic live performances that infuse storytelling with strong social and cultural messages.

Cheche sessions are intimate live music events that showcase stripped-down sets from an eclectic sample of artists from Africa.
