Singeli Festi 2023 in Tanzania

The Singeli Festi will be held in Kigamboni from 25 to 29 October. It will feature an opening party, workshop, street parade and the festival.

The Singeli Festi Opening Party is a platform where Singeli artists and music get a chance to introduce themselves to a new audience through Singeli showcases. The presence of local and international audiences across East Africa, Africa, Europe, and America provides a very useful platform for the growth and spread of Singeli music.

The workshop programme is for capacity building and skills development for Singeli music key players and artists both upcoming and existing. The Singeli Festi Uswazi Party is part of the opening celebration for Singeli Festi. It typically  takes place in the Uswahilini (street area) known as Mwananyamala, located in Dar es Salaam.

The Street Parade will be conducted by Uswazi Born Talents for community engagement in different areas of Dar es Salaam and Coastal Region. The main objective of this is to provide social interaction and community engagement.
