Call for applications: Children's singing lessons in South Africa
The National Children’s Theatre (NCT) in Johannesburg is calling on South African children aged between 6 and 15 to apply for lessons in singing, dancing and acting.
Parents or guardians who want their children to enrol should call Claudy on 011 484 1584 and ask for an enrolment form to complete.
The NCT learning classes will be held on Wednesday afternoons between 3pm and 4pm from 31 April.
Children can also attend a free trial class on Wednesday 3 April at 3pm after calling the aforementioned contact.
“NCT offers a new after-school programme where the class meets once a week – the perfect solution for busy Gauteng children,” the NCT said. “We keep our class sizes small so children get the personal attention and the non-competitive environment they need to do their best.
"Our incredible teaching staff are also professional actors and musicians, able to create a fun environment with a serious edge. This class emphasises the creativity, enjoyment and personal growth of each child. Through music, drama games, movement and vocal exercises, children explore self-expression and gain confidence and self-esteem.
"It has been proved that children who attend this type of class gain a distinct advantage that will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives, whether they advance in the acting profession or into other walks of life.”
