Call for applications: Residency for creatives in Barcelona

The residency programme offers exhibitions and performances opportunities, assisting creatives to promote work that is both relevant to, and a reflection of, today's aesthetic, social and intellectual issues.

Exhibition projects will be presented at the Sala Project in the period between January and September 2020, and the performance projects, held at the Off Blue space, can be programmed throughout the entire year of 2020.

For this call, three projects will be selected for performances and awarded 6 000 Euros, while three others selected for an exhibition that will run for eight weeks and awarded 15 000 Euros. 

The amount assigned is to cover the project costs or any other expenses directly related to it, such as installing, exhibition operation, flights, accommodation and expenses in case of Barcelona non-resident artists.

The deadline for application is 18 July 2019. Please note that no applications will be accepted after the deadline.

Project eligibility

Each participant can submit a maximum of one individual proposal and one collective.

To be considered, the project must:

• Allow the conception, formalisation, production and/or completion of the proposed project, using the facilities of the workshop if needed, with the objective of its following exhibition/presentation at the Sala Project for exhibition projects and at the Off Blue space for performance projects
• Be of an artistic-cultural field of any discipline, regardless of the format or technique employed
• Be developed or completed in a period of residency of a maximum of six weeks
• Be flexible
