Call for participation: Impact of COVID-19 on creative sector survey
VibeLab, in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), has commissioned a survey on the impact of COVID-19 on the music, design and fashion industries in Senegal, Kenya, South Africa, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan.
Based in the Netherlands, VibeLab supports and advises cross-sector stakeholders to keep cities vibrant and thriving at night. The survey seeks to provide precise data on what creative professionals experienced in 2020. The results will be released in April and shared with the public, local stakeholders and non-governmental institutions to help advocate for better support for these industries.
The survey is aimed at the following individuals working in the music industry:
- Singers.
- Instrumentalists.
- Composers.
- Dancers
- DJs
- Broadcasters.
- Event producers.
- Performing artists.
- Festival organisers.
- Marketers/salespeople.
- Managers.
- Teachers.
The survey seeks to identify what support is most needed to let creatives’ voices be heard and influence decision making, including the following:
- Details of respondents‘ work.
- How their work has been affected by the pandemic.
- What their goals and needs are.
Note:
- Participants have to be aged above 18 years.
- The data will be managed consistent with EU law.
- Any questions about this survey can be directed to Thomas Scheele via email: thomas@vibe-lab.org.
The survey is available in English, French and Arabic here.
The deadline for participation is 16 February.
