Call for submissions: Beatport Producer Challenge

The competition, which aims to unearth new talent, will select 50 of the most promising producers around the world, and across Beatport’s 10 popular music genres.

Producers must create an entire original piece of music using platforms and software from Beatport partners Loopcloud, Plugin Boutique, LANDR, iZotope and Roland Cloud, to enter the competition.

The winners will be awarded software and subscriptions worth more than $100 000 from the partners. Additionally, each winner's song will be released and exclusively promoted to Beatport's community.

“Since beginning our strategic partnership with Loopmasters in 2019, we have wanted to harness the full power of our respective audiences to give producers around the world access to a unique opportunity to exhibit their skills,” Beatport CEO Robb McDaniels said. “Combining the power of Loopcloud and Beatport’s industry-leading curation, along with other great companies in our industry such as LANDR, iZotope, and Roland Cloud, we are able to give producers the platform they need to showcase their talents.”

To enhance the producer’s toolkit for the challenge, each entrant will get a one-month free trial of Loopcloud, giving them a choice of four unique sample packs, 300 credits to spend, and full Loopcloud functionality. All the competitors will have access to a free trial of LANDR’s mastering and distribution platform to master their completed track for free before uploading it for consideration in the competition. 

The entrants will also receive a 30-day free trial of Roland Cloud, complete with techno patches and Patterns for the JUNO-106, JUPITER-8, SH-101, TB-303, TR-808 and TR-909.

Five winners will be chosen by Beatport’s curation team in the following genres:

• Afro-house
• Techno
• Tech house
• House
• Melodic house and techno
• Deep house
• Drum and bass
• Minimal and deep tech
• Trance
• Dance/future/bass house

Prizes awarded to the 50 winners will include:

• One year of Beatport LINK PRO+ and $50 in credits to the Beatport store
• One year of Loopcloud Studio and Plugin Boutique Scaler Music Theory Tool.
• iZotope Beatport Bundle with an Iris 2 Sample-Based Synthesizer, DDLY Dynamic Delay, Mobius Filter, and Elements Suite.
• One year of LANDR Pro and Lethal Synth plugin.
• One year Roland Cloud membership.

The deadline for submissions is 11 May.
