Chezaa Africa and AfroCharts announce partnership
African digital music distributor Chezaa Africa has partnered with AfroCharts, a fast-growing music streaming platform dedicated to promoting music from the continent globally.
The partnership will enable Chezaa Africa to distribute its content to AfroCharts.
The global music industry has seen an influx of African artists who are gaining recognition for their unique sound and cultural influence. This has led to the need for a platform that caters specifically to African music lovers and artists. AfroCharts aims to be that platform, and its partnership with Chezaa Africa is aligned with its mission to promote African music worldwide.
Through this partnership, artists can upload their music for free and gain access to various benefits within AfroCharts such as marketing, play-listing, and enhanced reach to music fan bases. Additionally, the partnership will focus on fair compensation for artists, ensuring that they earn money for their hard work.
Expressing his excitement about the partnership, AfroCharts founder and CEO Leonard Novati said: “Our goal is to create a platform where listeners can find their favourite songs from their favourite artists while allowing the artists to earn money for their hard work. Partnering with Chezaa Africa brings us closer to reaching that goal. We are happy to partner with Chezaa Africa and look forward to a successful partnership during this exciting time for the African Music Industry."
Chezaa Africa’s founder and CEO, Kennedy Oloo, also shared his enthusiasm about the partnership. “This partnership with AfroCharts aligns perfectly with our vision of amplifying African music globally,” Oloo said. “We believe that this partnership will create a positive impact on the African music industry, providing artists with the right platform to monetise their work. It is a testament to our commitment to empowering African artists and elevating African music to new heights.”
With the partnership, artists will now be able to distribute their music to the platform through Chezaa Africa’s dashboard. This will create a seamless experience for both artists and listeners, with artists being able to showcase their music, gain exposure, and earn money, while listeners will have access to a diverse range of African music from various genres and regions.
Oloo added: “Overall, this partnership is a significant step towards promoting African music globally and supporting African artists. It fosters collaboration and mutual support between AfroCharts and Chezaa Africa, and it comes at an exciting time for the African music industry with the growing popularity of African music worldwide.”
