The group will play at SunBet Arena in Pretoria on 22 November and at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on 25 November. The shows are presented by Big Concerts in partnership with Warner Music Africa.
The upcoming tour will be The Corrs’ first full-length performance in South Africa in more than 20 years. The band last appeared in the country in 2003, performing at Nelson Mandela’s 85th birthday celebration, a historic event remembered as one of the highlights of their career.
Comprising siblings Andrea, Sharon, Caroline, and Jim Corr, the group is known for their fusion of pop-rock and Celtic folk influences. Their extensive catalogue includes hits such as ‘Runaway’, ‘Breathless’, and ‘What Can I Do’. Since debuting in the 1990s, The Corrs have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide.
The tour takes its name from their 1997 album Talk On Corners, which propelled them to international fame and produced several chart-topping singles. The band’s return to live touring has been met with enthusiasm from fans across Europe and Australia, where they recently completed a series of sold-out shows.
Tickets for both shows are available here.
