MatchTune launches ‘easy’ track editing tool
French music tech company MatchTune today announced the launch of TuneBlades, an AI-powered app that can scale and edit original compositions while preserving their melodies and vocals.
TuneBlades is now available on iOS, macOS and web, with support for Google Play expected later in 2022. Created through a collaboration of “renowned musicians and experienced engineers”, the company says the tool’s innovative AI and algorithms quickly and efficiently create variations of professional-level music, removing the workload traditionally associated with advanced music editing.
With a few clicks, the tool can resize, remix and adjust any track automatically according to the user’s desired duration. The features include easy drag-and-drop uploading, uploading directly from a URL, a simple duration slide bar, instant audio trimming, automatic remixing and stretching, vocal removal and infinite streaming. Results are available in a variety of ready-to-release formats with a free tier and subscriber offerings, the company said.
“Launching TuneBlades is the next phase in our mission to empower independent and professional content creators with a fast and easy way to edit music for their content,” composer and MatchTune co-founder André Manoukian said. “We have clearly demonstrated how AI can add value, removing lengthy integration work and showcasing the best of music with respect to the integrity of compositions.”
MatchTune says TuneBlades’ technology matches music to the diverse needs of the growing market of digital content makers. “Via the mapping of key moments within a composition, TuneBlades is able to recognise and showcase the most suitable beats, tones and energy precisely having analysed moods, genres, instruments, BPM, pitch, voice and music – resulting in unbiased, efficient music reconfiguration.”
Based in Paris and Los Angeles, MatchTune is focused on simplifying music-to-media integration and is dedicated to creating music and video tools that make it easier for users to use. The company’s team is made up of entrepreneurs, scientists and musicians leveraging new technologies to advance the music and video industry. MatchTune has struck partnerships with labels like BMG Production Music and Universal Music Publishing Group, among others.
