Nigeria: King Perryy releases Continental Playlist EP
Nigerian artist King Perryy has released a new EP titled Continental Playlist.
- King Perryy.
The seven-song EP, available for streaming and download here, follows the release of the single ‘On God’, which is also the lead off track on the offering.
Speaking about the album, King Perryy said: “It was a great experience finishing up this project. I spent the whole of last year working on this project and producing 50 songs, experimenting with different sounds, trying new melodies with my voice and just discovering myself in the music. I made sure I was getting the right message across by making sure my songs conveyed who I was as an artist as well as where I was at the time.”
The singer said the project’s title celebrates the continental sound, in which Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, drill and pop merge.
Continental Playlist includes collaborations with Tekno, Victony, Ria Sean, and 1da Banton.
King Perryy’s debut album, Citizen of the World, released in 2021, was well received and helped the Southeastern Nigerian native carve a niche in the Afro-dancehall genre. His new body of work affirms his ability to go wherever inspiration leads him.
Continental Playlist was recently placed on MusicSplit’s maiden online auction. Launched by African platform ARTSPLIT last year, MusicSplit allows fans to own a fraction of a music project and receive monthly royalties. It takes the estimated value of a music project and divides it into 100 000 units – or ‘splits’ – to allow fans to finance it and make a profit.

3. ‘Tight Condition’ ft. Victony
