Open call: Byta-Marshall Digital Launch Academy
Registrations are ongoing for music-sharing app Byta and amp and instrument manufacturer Marshall’s Digital Launch Academy, a free one-day course focused on releasing and launching music in the digital age.
This comprehensive programme consists of four individual sessions covering various aspects of a music release – from ‘pre-release hygiene’ and metadata to social media management and promotional strategies. These sessions aim to equip aspiring artists and industry leaders with the necessary tools to organise and enhance their music release campaigns.
The Digital Launch Academy is designed to improve their understanding of coordinating and capturing sounds for their recordings. Topics range from audio and digital file best practices to recording planning for various situations. Each session addresses different challenges that creators should consider when planning to record and produce digital audio. Participants will gain valuable tips and tricks to improve their audio quality and readiness for sharing their work. The day concludes with a networking opportunity among participants and instructors.
The first event is scheduled for 16 November.
Participants will gain insights from four individual courses:
- Pre-release: How to prepare for both earnings and exposure by focusing on ‘pre-release hygiene’ and metadata.
- Digital Best Practices: File formats, and digital and audio security to ensure the integrity of an artist’s work.
- Social Media Management: Maintaining a consistent online presence to engage and grow a fan base.
- Post-release: Navigating the realms of promotion, PR and streaming optimisation to maximise the impact of one’s music.
Note: There will be Q&A session with the attendees and instructors.
The event is free to register and attend, but space is limited. Interested applicants may register here.
