
Open call: Ethno Mozambique 2025
Musicians around the world are invited to submit applications for the 2025 edition of Ethno Mozambique in Maputo from 7 to 14 September.
- The application deadline is 30 June.
Ethno Mozambique is a traditional and folk music camp where young traditional or folk musicians from across the globe use the peer to peer learning approach to teach each other the music from their countries and cultures.
For its fourth edition, about 20 participants aged between 18 and 30 years are expected to participate with two or three well experienced artistic mentors.
During the camp, participants will have the chance to tour the natural landscape, visiting historical and cultural places and sand beaches of Maputo with the opportunity to participate in activities such as xigubo sessions, team building games. Two final concerts will be held at different locations, audience and setup, providing a unique experience in the interaction between the local community and the participants.

Opportunity costs
- A participation fee of $200 is required to cover local transportation, accommodation and food during the camp.
