This triennial chamber music competition is held in three categories: Lied (evaluated as a duo), Piano Trio and Piano Duo as a new category. An essential and internationally unique element of this competition is to compare contemporary music with the works of Schubert on an equal footing and equal value. The challenge of seriously dealing with modernity is an important incentive for young musicians to connect to today.
Artists can apply for Lied, Piano Trio and Piano Duo here, here and here, respectively, before 24 September.
