Open call: Ntwala Oh Yeah! festival 2025 in Angola
Konono Soul Arts is inviting applications for the 2025 edition of Ntwala Oh Yeah! festival in Luanda, Angola from 24 to 29 June.
The event is a traveling meeting between the performing arts, music, dance, literature, visual arts, and spoken word. It also includes book launches, talks, workshops, networking and tourism.
It is designed for professionals from the arts industry, including artists, festival delegates, organisations, specialised journalists, technicians and art consultants.
The aim of the festival is to promote and highlight emerging artists, offering them a platform to present themselves. In addition, the event seeks to create opportunities for exchange and collaboration between artists, through a program created that involves a creative space. The event is a community project that came into being to help expand the reach and visibility of artists, facilitating them the opportunity to share their work with a wider audience.
Applications should apply here before 30 March.
The festival includes 25 main artists, 15 of whom are national and 10 from abroad. In addition, the incorporation of delegates from world-renowned organisations to attract international attention, so that the festival can establish valuable connections in the arts industry.
Submission regulations:
- The call is addressed to 15 local artists and 10 from abroad for showcases.
- At least 18 years old is the age required for candidates interested in registering
- Own funds are needed for artists who come from the interior of the country and abroad.
- The candidate must enrol in only one subject.
- Selected artists will be announced on 20 April.
- Only candidates from the disciplines mentioned in the catalog are accepted.
- Only applications made through the online form are valid.
- Candidates signing up for the workshop and book launch space must wait for applications addressed to them.
- Participation incentives for artists will be agreed as things go along.
- The festival provides local transport, catering services for all and accommodation only for the foreign artists.
