Blessing Shumba
Bio
Born in 1980 in Buhera, Blessing Shumba is a gospel artist from Zimbabwe.
He attended Mutare Polytechnic where he studied electrical engineering. In 2001, together with five church members formed a choral group called Vakushi veShoko. They released an album ‘Tumai Mweya’. The group disbanded prompting Shumba to launch a solo career.
In 2008, he released a debut single called ‘Kurwa Kwakanaka’. In January 2009, he released a six-track album called ‘Ishe Wazvose’ followed by ‘NdiMwari’ (2010), ‘Munamato Wangu’ and ‘Shongwe’ (2011), ‘Holy Psalms Volume 1-NdiJesu’ (2014) and 'Calvary' (2016).
His song ‘Mufaro’ came second in the Radio Zimbabwe Coca-Cola Pimped Up and Ride Top 50.
