King Hamin
Bio
Haminu Gibril, a.k.a King Hamin, started his musical story at the age of 14 when he began singing cover versions of songs in small venues. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Buju Banton, Shabba Ranks and Patty Ranks, King Hamin grew a passion for Dancehall and Reggae music.
During the war in Sierra Leone, King Hamin immigrated to Guinea and there he produced his first music album titled Jah Say So, which included his first single 'Refugee Life' and 'Baby Show'. The album was officially launched in 2004 when King Hamin returned to Sierra Leone, but 'Baby Show' became a standout track in the album. This led to King Hamin being nominated for and winning awards in Sierra Leone and also being booked for live shows both home and abroad including the Sierra Leone 46th Independence Day celebration in the UK. King Hamin made a remix of 'Baby Show' and spent the subsequent years recording music and touring Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.
In 2010, King Hamin moved to the UK to further his music career. There he spent lots of time networking, performing in shows across the country and collaborating with other artists, and struck up a relationship with 2BExquisite that has produced the result of multiple singles and an album.
