Bio
Kerr Gi Family is a Gambian hip-hop music outfit comprising of three siblings namely Poliman (Mohammad Cham), Barhama (Ebrima Cham) and DMB (Ababacarr Cham).They also sing acoustic and Afro-beat music. The group was formed on 26 March 2009 in Sanchaba Sulay Jobe. They released their first single ‘Saturday Night’ in 2010. Other singles are ‘Bai Malamin dara’, ‘Music Makes Ma Brain Go Chalalala’ and ‘Linguere’.
In2012, they were awarded a scholarship to study music theory and practical at Mandingmorry Academy of Music where they graduated with good grades. In 2014, they released a debut mixtape entitled ‘Flash’.
In 2014, they won the Best Music Group of The Year category at the 2015 Purely Gambian Entertainment Awards Night. In 2015, they released an EP titled ‘Nataalu’. The song is a reflection of true African beauty. Some of their popular songs include ‘Hustling’, ‘Chasing Dream’, ‘Fatou’, ‘Jigain’ and ‘Saturday Night’.
