Bio
Sivuyisiwe Giba is an indigenous documentary filmmaker and a Festival events director. Sivuyisiwe Giba manages the band called "The Ngqoko Womens Ensemble Group" based in in the village of Ngqoko outside the town of Lady Frere in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The ensemble have become well known in Africa over the years and have toured the Middle East and Europe. The Ngqoko Cultural Group has established a reputation as guardians of the rural Xhosa culture, maintaining the survival and presence of indigenous South African music.
