Bio

The journey starts in early 2017 when a Pretoria based musical outfit called BagaNtu is formed.
Shortly after that, it gets invited to perform at the Retirement celebrations of General Dan
Mofokeng of the Pan Africanist Congress at the South African State Theatre.
Their sound is nothing heard before, it’s a true authentic African sound comprising of most
songs composed on marimba, kora and guitars.
They seek to share with their audience, untold stories and experiences of communities where
they come from and other forgotten communities THROUGH SOUND.
The band was invited twice to showcase at the Poetic Thursdays (a monthly poetry event)
held at the Soweto theatre.
They have been gracing different stages in Pretoria with their sound as well as the sawubona
music jam in Soweto.
