Ghana: Stonebwoy’s Jiggle and Whine gets official video
Ghanaian reggae-dancehall star Stonebwoy today released the attendant video to his single ‘Jiggle & Whine’ available for streaming and download across all major digital platforms.
The song is taken from his new album Up & Runnin6 released months ago under the musician's Burniton Music Group and featuring Jamaica diva Spice.
The visuals for ‘Jiggle & Whine’, shot across various locations in Accra, and directed by Banini, feature a colourful polish and energetic choreography complementing the party theme of the song. It also melds Ghanaian and Jamaican carnival cultures.
‘Jiggle & Whine’ adds to other well-received 2024 offerings from the musician who is the reigning Telecel Ghana Music Awards Artist of the Year. The musician’s recent album also spawned well-received singles like ‘Jejereje’, ‘Pray for Me’ and ‘Memories’.
Stonebwoy’s sound blends, West African pop with reggae-dancehall and has been at the forefront of Ghana’s music scene for about a decade. He was recently named the EMY Africa Music Man of the Year.
On 22 December, the musician will headline the 2024 edition of his annual year-end flagship concert, the BHIM festival in Accra. Nigerian Afrobeats star, Davido, with whom Stonebwoy has collaborated on 'Activate', has been confirmed as a special guest.
Stonebwoy has also announced a series of North American tour dates in support of Up & Runnin6, set to launch in February 2025, following news that he will play at the iconic O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on 8 March. Kicking off in Chicago, the tour will hit key cities across the US and Canada, including Columbus, Toronto, New York and Worcester, before wrapping up in Silver Spring.
