Ghanaian artist Black Sherif plans 2025 North American tour
Ghanaian singer Black Sherif is set to tour North America in April 2025.
Dubbed the Iron Boy Tour, it will see the artist make stops in six cities across the US and Canada, including Washington DC, Boston, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto from 4 to 17 April.
The tour follows the arrival of 2024 singles ‘January 9th’, ‘Shut Up’, ‘Kilos Milos’, ‘Zero’ and ‘Rebel Music’. It reportedly heralds Black Sherif’s forthcoming sophomore album.
“Long time coming beloved,’ Black Sherif confirmed the news in posts across social media. “THE IRON BOY TOUR 2025, North American Dates Are Out! I’m overwhelmed, and my spirit is over-prepared. I can’t wait to dance soul to soul with YOU. LOVE YOU.”
On the road, the artist signed to the American distribution company and record label EMPIRE will play from a catalogue including hits like the 2021 ‘First Sermon’ and ‘Second Sermon’ as well as his debut album The Villian I Never Was.
On 21 December, meanwhile, Black Sherif will be in concert in Accra, Ghana, headlining his annual flagship show, Zaama Disco.
In September, Black Sherif surpassed 500 million streams on Africa-facing digital streaming platform (DSP) Boomplay.
Per rival DSP Spotify, Black Sherif is the most-streamed artist of 2024, with The Villain I Never Was leading the way in the albums category.
Born Mohammed Ismail Sherif, Black Sherif is a BET Hip Hop Award winner and a five-time recipient at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, including the prestigious Artist of the Year accolade.
