Call for applications: Mobility grants for creatives in Burundi
The European Support Project for the Cultural Sector in Burundi (PASACC-BU), in partnership with Africalia, has launched mobility grants for Burundian artists and cultural actors who wish to attend the next edition of Visa For Music in Rabat, Morocco, between 17 and 20 November.
Financed by the European Union with co-financing from Africalia, the project includes a marketing component for the works of Burundian cultural operators.
Who can apply?
This opportunity is aimed at artists, cultural operators, managers, producers, directors and organisers of festivals operating in music.
Eligibility criteria
The applicant must:
- Be able to communicate in French/English with cultural actors of various nationalities during the festival.
- Have a passport valid for at least six months from October 2021.
- Have a yellow fever card issued by the authorised structure of the Ministry of Public Health.
Requirements
- A CV with two references.
- A portfolio complete with links.
- Proof of residence.
- A letter of recommendation from a manager of the cultural structure in which the applicant works.
- A letter of motivation, which should be addressed to the National Coordinator of PASACC-BU.
- A copy of the national ID card.
- A copy of the passport.
- A written commitment to be available for the entire preparation process for the trip and during the Visa For Music festival period.
Now in its eighth edition, the annual music industry forum seeks to increase the visibility of music globally. This year’s programme will include digital and live experiences due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
