Airpic-M

Aphelele Menisi better known as Airpic-M is an independent rapper born and raised in the streets of Gugulethu, Cape Town.

He started writing music back in 2010, working with some of the music pioneers in Cape Town such as Siphe Tebeka; Pyro Beats; Planet Earth; Vuyo Myoli & Kenny Dolo. Airpic-M became a solo artist after parting ways with Triple V Records in 2013. The Gugs rapper started making a name for himself after performing at the TP La Picnique as Suxxeed (Rap duo) back in 2016. Performing alongside well established acts such as Black Coffee, Naak music, Dj Naves & Sphectecular to name a few.

Airpic-M is known for his contagious Xhosa slang, magnetic presence when on stage, catchy hooks and dynamic ways of approaching music as a whole. The emerging Trap star seems to inspire the youth in and around the City Of Cape Town.

In 2021 July he dropped his third studio mixtape GUGS KID GONE BAD (https://open.spotify.com/album/2irm4FYBj00m28sQxIDzSN) on all digital platforms. From this project Airpic-M dropped a music video (https://youtu.be/L74VfaGhvb4) for his lead single titled Mali Yomlungu featuring (a close friend/producer) $limBeats, which seems to have cemented his name in the streets.

The Gugs rapper shows no signs of slowing down as the Mali Yomlungu music video received a high rotation on Cape Town TV, Channel O. Circulating different shows such as Zone In Hip-hop, Collabo, Best Of The Week and ending up on number 3 top 30 Channel O charts.

In 2022 Airpic-M released his 4th studio mixtape titled Istixo Sase Kapa (The Cape Town Key) featuring well established artist such as Soul T Idyan, Bravo Le Roux, Fresh Clique including emerging artists such as Hefecpt, $limbeats and Sile. The lead single Emafini featuring Bravo Le Roux found its way to Breakfast Bangers Block (MTV Base) & Trace Africa.

In 2024 Airpic-M is currently working on his debut album A.M STORIES, which is set to drop in 2025 under his newly found record label Gug$lang Records.
