Last call for World Choir Games early bird registration
The World Choir Games is inviting all choirs to register for next year's competition. Now in its 10th edition, the event will be held in South Africa’s capital Tshwane from 4 to 14 July. This will be the first time that the world’s biggest choral competition is held on African soil.
Those who want to join the World Choir Games 2018 should register for the event in the next few days. Early bird registration closes on Friday 15 September – until then every participating choir still has the chance to benefit from the corresponding discounts.
The World Choir Games are expected to open a unique opportunity for South African rural and township choirs that would otherwise encounter financial difficulty to travel abroad to compete in an international competition. Such choirs will now have the chance to experience the many facets of international choral music as well as the cultural exchange that is fostered at the event.
How to register
The deadline for registration is 1 December while the early bird deadline is 15 September. Click here to preregister and access the registration forms. Choirs and conductors may register for a maximum of three activities at the World Choir Games.

- For early bird registration, the fee per selected activity is €250 ($295)
- For registration until the regular deadline the fee for the first activity/category is €500 and €250 for each additional activity.
About the World Choir Games
Born out of the idea of bringing together people from all countries, the World Choir Games offer fair and realistic competition to experienced competitive choirs as well as choirs with relatively little international experience. The event features the Champions Competition and the Open Competition. These two competitions allow choirs the opportunity to participate at the appropriate level.
Choirs that choose not to be placed in competition but seek to be part of the international experience can participate in non-competitive evaluation activities.
The event is supported by the Gauteng Tourism Authority and the City of Tshwane. For more information about next year’s 10th World Choir Games, visit the official website.
