Kenya: Fancy Fingers teams up with Simmy on Show Me Love
Kenyan music producer and composer Fancy Fingers has released a new single titled ‘Show Me Love’ featuring South African singer Simmy.
The laid-back release pays homage to kwaito, a genre that has hugely influenced the musical identity of amapiano.
Commenting on working with Simmy, Fancy Fingers, who is also a member of popular Kenyan band Sauti Sol, said: “It was such a great honour and absolute pleasure to meet Simmy earlier this year in Joburg. I sold her the dream I have of doing a project that features female artists only across the continent and she happily accepted to be part of it. We worked remotely after that and she has been very involved with every single detail regarding our song. Her voice was perfect for the jam and I believe we made a beautiful gem.”
‘Show Me Love’ is Fancy Fingers’ fourth solo single off his forthcoming album, and follows his previous feel-good tracks ‘Ego’, ‘Far Away’ and ‘One in a Million’.
Keen to kick-start his solo career, Fancy Fingers released his debut album Father Studies off Sauti Sol’s Alone Together project in 2021 that showcased his voice for the very first time. He followed the release with his next self-produced instrumental EP Potluck (2023).

The upcoming nine-track collection features an all-female line-up only including Karun (Kenya), Azawi (Uganda) and Bananas Overdose (Ethiopia).
