Open call: ARMC and MTN Bushfire workshops
Africa Rising Music Conference (ARMC) and MTN Bushfire are inviting creatives to register for online workshops on 30 November 2023, 29 February and 28 March 2024.
The three online workshops, titled Building a Sustainable Music Career, Digital Marketing Strategies and Make the Most out of the MTN Bushfire Arts Round Table, will take place via Zoom. They are designed to offer participants an enriching experience in the arts industry. The workshops are crafted to enrich the creative economy by fostering a dynamic learning environment that empowers participants with innovative skills and knowledge.
Artists and creatives from the following sectors are invited to register:
- Artist/performer.
- Distribution.
- Events.
- Label.
- Management.
- Publishing.
- Promotion.
Through a combination of interactive sessions leading towards the Arts Round Table (three different ones), the workshop equips individuals with the tools to meet the following objectives:
- Fostering self-reliance.
- Elevating underrepresented voices.
- Forging connections.
- Youth empowerment and education.
The workshops will run as follows:
Session 1
Building a Sustainable Music Career (30 November 2023)
- Building a team.
- Publishing and distribution.
- Session time: 3pm – 4pm (CAT).
Session 2
Digital Marketing Strategies (29 February 2024)
- Session time: 3pm – 4pm (CAT).
Session 3
Make the Most out of the MTN Bushfire Arts Round Table (28 March 2024).
- Session time: 3pm – 4pm (CAT).
