Open call: Ethno Mozambique 2024
Musicians around the world are invited to submit applications for the 2024 edition of Ethno Mozambique in the Boane District of Maputo from 21 to 28 April.
Ethno Mozambique is a traditional and folk music camp where young traditional or folk artists from across the globe use the peer-to-peer learning approach to teach each other music from their countries and cultures. Now in its third edition, about 20 participants aged between 18 to 30 are expected to participate with three experienced artistic mentors.
Ethno Mozambique will be held in a natural ambience setting in Maputo. During the camp, participants will have the chance to tour the natural landscape, visit historical and cultural places and the beautiful sand beaches of Maputo, with the opportunity to participate in activities such as zumba and xigubo sessions during morning gatherings.
