Pulse Kenya announces fourth Influencer Awards
Pulse Kenya has announced the launch of the nomination phase of the 2024 edition of the Pulse Influencer Awards.
Pulse Kenya is part of Pulse Africa, a continental youth-oriented digital media company and marketing agency operating in six countries.
Running under the theme Futuristic Fashion: AI Glamour, the awards will be held simultaneously in all Pulse Africa markets in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Uganda and Ivory Coast on 12 October.
Now in its fourth edition, the Pulse Influencer Awards have become a key feature of the continent’s culture and creative industry sector. The awards showcase some of the industry’s shining stars across multiple categories and are dedicated to championing innovation and the community-building efforts of influencers who use social media as a platform to distribute value in Kenya and across Africa.
Pulse East Africa managing director Jack Owigar says content creators play a vital role in starting conversation and driving the narrative around important issues. “They not only educate, enlighten and entertain,” Owigar said. “And with the incorporation of new-age technology such as AI into content creation, this has not only sped up the turnaround time but also improved the quality of content being put out by the creators.”
Commenting on this year’s theme, Owigar said the awards look to highlight how AI is impacting content creation, celebrating the evolving nature of the market and the players who are driving the agenda and making things tick by adopting emerging technologies.
With more than 2.7 million votes and 200 million impressions across Africa last year, the Pulse Influencer Awards 2024 is set to connect more influencers and reach an even wider audience.
“The Pulse Influencer Awards are also an important opportunity for brands to connect with niche audiences and collaborate with influencers to further amplify their brand messaging to a wider, more engaged audience,” Pulse director of marketing and content growth Kanyinsola Aroyewun said.
“The awards introduce partner brands to new audience groups and help to establish mutually beneficial collaborations with influencers and creators, a win-win for all stakeholders. This year, we expect more of that, just as we expect an even wider reach for the awards in all our markets.”
