Koko Band

Koko band is a six-member band that fuses the traditional African instruments with the western instruments to a unique blend known as Afro-fusion.

The band began this journey in 2008 and was one of the finalists in the local music competition known as Spotlight on Kenyan Music hosted by the French Cultural Center.

The band has performed alongside renowned local and international musicians and in many festivals among them the Kite festival, Blankets and Wine, Sawa Sawa festival and many more.

Koko band is based in Nairobi. The main drive for the band has been to create social awareness on social issues and to engage in charitable missions. The band commits ten percent of its revenue to charitable organizations a a way of giving back to the society.
