Kaweesa

Richy Kaweesa is a talented Ugandan vocalist, songwriter and guitarist, who has been singing for as long as he can remember. His music is heavily influenced by church having been raised in a very religious and musical family. Some say he sounds like John Legend others say he sounds like Anthony Hamilton, he says he sounds like Richy.

In 2009 he won the MTV My Video award, as the next artist to watch out for from East Africa. He has worked with established Ugandan musicians such as Navio (Missing You) & Atlas (Will you Dance). He has chart topping releases such as 'Mama' & 'Breaking Apart' and in 2012 during Uganda's jubilee celebrations he contributed his vocal talent to the official golden jubilee song titled 'Yoga Yoga'.

His maiden album 'My Words' was released in June 2013 and is available on iTunes and online music stores.
