Bio

Born on 5 October 1983 in Windhoek, Namibia, EES (Easy Eric Sell) is a Namibian rapperwho resides partly in Cologne, Germany, where he writes his music in Afrikaans and English. His music is a mixture of kwaito, house, Afro-pop and reggae. EES’s career in music began in 2001 while studying Sound Engineering in Cape Town, South Africa. He completed his studies in 2003. In 2004, he moved to Europe to improve his music skills.

The rapper has to date released 13 albums, including ‘Straight from NAM’ (2002), ‘Bio-Lyrical Warfare’ (2003), ‘Yes-Ja’ (2003), ‘Odyssey Cru’ (2004), ‘061 for LIFE’ (2004) and others. He has won a number of awards, including Best Rock/Alternative Artist at the 2008 Sanlam-NBC Music Awards, the Listeners’ Choice category at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards, Namibian Annual Music Awards for Artist of the Year (2009), Best International Achievement (2011), Best Music Video and Best Collaboration (2012) , as well as a Channel O Music Video Award in 2012 for Best Kwaito Video for ‘Ayoba’ featuring Mandoza.. He has also received numerous nominations over the years.

EES also owns a record label, called Nam Flava Music, a clothing line, EES WeaR, and an energy drink called WUMA.
