Trevor Dongo

Raised in Highfield, one of the biggest suburbs in Harare, Trevor Dongo is an RnB musician who began writing music at school. He did his primary and secondary education at Rusvingo and Kwayedza schools respectively. While at college, he began singing for a living but he was very skeptical about his performances.

In 2001, he released his debut album ‘Ndozviita Sei’. The album earned him a place in the urban music scene. This was followed with the release of a couple singles such as 'Tivanyadzise', 'Ruva Rashe', 'Takonana', 'Ndashamisika' and many more. ‘Ruvarashe’ (2010) became his second album followed by ‘Fist Verse’ (2012). The artist is currently working on another album ‘Two Steps to Go’. In 2012, he embarked on a debut international tour in the UK together with Maskiri and Leonard Mapfumo. He went back to the UK in 2014 for the UK Summer Festival.
